Often we find that shrubs or hedges were planted in poor or non-irrigated soii - or both. Over time they die and turn brown.
Then what? This Condominium Association (photo, below) asked us to come up with a low-cost but "nice looking" solution in front of several buildings that were losing their Boxwoods.
We excavated and removed the dead Boxwoods, raked all the roots out, leveled the soil to grade and installed a River Cobble cover from the front entry to the curb. And additional benefit was that all soil was covered, reducing dust and mud on the walkway and driveways.
As well, the Cobbles matched the River Rock masonry trim along the base of the buildings
