Restoring/Repairing Failed Gates and Fences...

We believe nothing beats the look and feel of Cedar fencing and gates.  Sadly, sooner or later Cedar gates and fencing will fail

If you are fortunate, the Cedar was not painted but lightly stained or left natural and lasted 10 or 12 years.  If painted, it probably didn't last as long due to moisture retention.

Cedar Gate Replica

We believe the right way to replace a gate is to replicate it, including imperfect dimensions.  This is because the gate post and adjacent fence posts have either warped, twisted or settled in a permanent position.  If we replicate the old gate correctly, it will slide into the gateway easily and, once hung on new hinges will latch to the gatepost  with a gentle push.

Older fencing and gates were generally built with a better, heavier grade of Cedar.  Our replacement/replication work is done with the same or better grade as the original, purchased from trusted Puget Sound area lumber yards.

Two coats of high grade transparent stain brings out the beauty of the Tight Knot Cedar boards and you're good for many years to come.

Now let's take a look a how we move water away from lawns, planting beds and walkways - and keep it off...
